Brown & James Principal Taylor Connolly and Senior Associate Louis Spinner were selected as a 2023 Up & Coming lawyers by Missouri Lawyers Media. The award honors outstanding legal professionals 40 and younger who demonstrate professional excellence while making a positive impact on the profession and their communities.
Taylor was originally inspired to become a lawyer after watching “Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills.” “The disparity between the abundant resources of the State’s prosecution as against three young, impoverished and overwhelmed but wrongfully targeted suspects led me to want to make a difference,” he said.
Louis was a Marine who became a lawyer because he wanted give more purpose to his professional career. “It sounds cliché, but I wanted to do something where I felt like I was making a tangible difference in the world,” he said.
