Brown & James is pleased to announce the election of John Rahoy, shareholder and principal, as a director on the board of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC), an international defense organization dedicated to the principles of knowledge, justice, and fellowship.
Members of the FDCC must be private-practice attorneys or corporate counsel who primarily represent insurance companies, associations or others in the defense of civil litigation.
Mr. Rahoy has been a member of FDCC for nine years and is a frequent speaker for its conferences. He has served as chair of its Premises and Security Committee and is a member of its Admissions and Diversity committees and numerous seminar planning committees. He is also the chair of the Ladder Down Committee, which runs a year-long educational program for young women lawyers to prepare them for professional practice, marketing, and client development. The program has been in existence for only one year and is now in three cities: Phoenix, San Francisco, and Seattle.
Mr. Rahoy focuses his practice on issues involving transportation, retail and professional liability. He has tried more than 70 jury trials to verdict, including in the Circuit Court of the City of St. Louis, one of the most favorable plaintiff venues in the nation. He is recognized by the Best Lawyers in America for Personal Injury Litigation – Defense.
Mr. Rahoy’s election as a director on the board of the FDCC is a significant achievement and a testament to his dedication and hard work. Congratulations!
