Brown & James to Continue Operating at Full Capacity

March 19, 2020

As the nation addresses the COVID-19 pandemic, the legal system is also making significant adjustments. Many federal and state courts are postponing civil proceedings. The Missouri Supreme Court has suspended almost all in-person court proceedings until April 3, 2020, in Missouri’s trial and appellate courts. Likewise, many Illinois state courts are postponing proceedings until April and, in some cases, until late May.

Brown & James has also taken proactive measures to respond to COVID-19. We have undertaken substantial efforts to prioritize the safety and well-being of our employees, clients, guests, and the community at large, while continuing to serve our clients.

Brown & James will remain fully operational. Our offices will remain open. Our lawyers and staff are also equipped to work remotely. Many are working remotely at this time. Regardless, there will be no disruption in our ability to meet all client and court requirements with the same exceptional level of service, dedication, and commitment that are the hallmarks of our firm.

We will continue to monitor this developing situation and continue to keep you abreast of all significant developments that impact your matters.

Should you have any questions, or if we at Brown & James can assist you in any way, please contact your relationship principal or me.

It is times like these that cause us to reflect on what is truly important. We are grateful for our relationships with you and for the great trust that you have placed in Brown & James over the years to serve as your counsel.

We look forward to continue serving as your counsel now and in future. We wish you and your families good health and safety.

Best regards,

Michael Ward
Managing Principal
