John D. Cooney is a principal with Brown & James, P.C., practicing in the firm’s St. Louis office. Mr. Cooney represents individuals and corporations, often through their insurers. He concentrates his practice on the defense of civil lawsuits with a particular emphasis on premises liability, products liability, and the defense of uninsured and underinsured motorist cases. Mr. Cooney has significant litigation experience and has taken multiple trials to verdict throughout the State of Missouri. This experience has provided Mr. Cooney with an extensive knowledge base in handling complex and challenging cases, as well as bringing them to a successful conclusion through dispositive motions or trial.
