4 Lawyers Join Brown & James

Brown & James welcomes Shareholders Joshua Davis and Richard Woolf, Senior Associate Rebecca Guntli, and Counsel Andrew Chipperfield to its St. Louis office.

Davis practices in the areas of construction law, premises liability, product liability, and transportation law. His practice focuses almost exclusively on insurance litigation, including third-party defense, first-party litigation, and insurance coverage. He routinely defends clients in catastrophic injury and property damage cases. He is a frequent speaker for continuing legal education programs and served on the Board of Directors for Peter & Paul Community Services.

Davis earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and his B.S. from Truman State University. He is recognized by Super Lawyers and is licensed to practice in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.

Woolf practices in the areas of premises liability, product liability, personal injury defense, construction, business and commercial litigation, and professional liability. His practice is concentrated in third-party insurance defense, first-party insurance litigation, and insurance coverage analysis. He is a national presenter on insurance litigation matters, a former adjunct professor at Washington University School of Law, and is active in several charitable organizations in St. Louis.

Woolf obtained his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and his B.A. cum laude from Yeshiva University. He is recognized by Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers and is licensed to practice in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Arkansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.

Guntli practices in the areas of insurance coverage, premises liability, and product liability. She earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and B.A. in Political Science from the University of Missouri, graduating magna cum laude. She also obtained her health law concentration while attending law school and was a lead editor for the Saint Louis University Journal of Health Law & Policy. She is recognized by Best Lawyers as One to Watch and Super Lawyers as a Rising Star and is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois.

Chipperfield practices in the areas of construction law, premises liability, and product liability. He earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and B.A. from the University of Denver. He is recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star and is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois.
