Ashley is an associate practicing in the firm’s Belleville office in the areas of construction law, professional liability, insurance law, and premises and retail liability.
Ashely’s prior legal experience includes working at a small firm in Savannah, Tenn., where she was a general practice attorney handling a wide variety of matters. She conducted several trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations, during that time and realized she really enjoys drafting documents and is an effective communicator in the courtroom. She learned that she loved litigation and wanted to focus on a particular area of practice, which led her to Brown & James.
Growing up on a small farm in rural west Tennessee fostered Ashley’s deep belief in hard work and determination. She always had a deep appreciation and love for animals. She pursued a science background at Mississippi State University and conducted 2D NMR DNA Adduct research with the Aspirnaut program at Vanderbilt University for two summers. She found out quickly that her interest in science was overshadowed by her interest in the law and love for writing.
Ashley is a proponent of mental health wellness, advocacy for animals, and LGBTQ+ rights.
