Alexis Brudnicki is an associate attorney practicing in the firm’s Kansas City office. Alexis graduated from Mizzou Law in 2024, and she plans to practice in a variety of areas of law, putting to use her extensive background beyond the legal world.
Born and raised in London, Ontario, Canada, Alexis is an award-winning sports journalist who spent more than a decade covering baseball across the globe before completing her master’s degree, doctoral degree, and venturing off to law school. Alexis previously spent time working for Major League Baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays, the Australian Baseball League, and more, also writing for Baseball America, Prep Baseball Report, and the Canadian Baseball Network, among other publications. Alexis has worked as a press officer for Baseball Canada’s Women’s National Team, covering tournaments in Japan and Mexico. Alexis’s background as a baseball statistician, writer, and reporter has provided her with helpful legal skills, experience with deadlines, and success in fast-paced environments.
Prior to Mizzou Law, Alexis obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario, a graduate diploma in Sports Journalism from Centennial College, a master’s degree from Queen’s University, and her doctorate from the University of Western Ontario.
Alexis is also an avid runner, having completed 18 full marathons, an ultra marathon, 45 half-marathons, multiple triathlons, and various other races.
