Beau Bertus is an associate attorney serving clients throughout Chicago and northern Illinois. He focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation, environmental and toxic tort matters, health care liability, and insurance law.
Beau represents businesses, insurers, and professionals in complex civil litigation, handling matters from initial evaluation through trial and resolution. He has conducted both jury and bench trials and regularly appears in court on contested motions. His practice includes motion practice, discovery, depositions, and strategic case development, with an emphasis on thorough preparation and results-driven advocacy.
Prior to private practice, Beau served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Kendall County, where he prosecuted misdemeanor and juvenile matters and tried cases before juries and judges.
Beau earned his Juris Doctor from West Virginia University College of Law, where he concentrated in labor and employment law. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Bethany College, where he was a two-time All-Conference football player and recipient of multiple academic and leadership awards. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and North Carolina.
In his free time, Beau enjoys sports, spending time with family, and exploring new dog parks with his husky, Maya.
