MaKentzee Chappel Coronel is an associate in the Kansas City, Missouri, office. She joined the team in August 2024 after obtaining her Juris Doctor at the University of Kansas School of Law and passing the Missouri Bar. She loves being in the heart of downtown Kansas City while practicing law at the same time.

MaKentzee is from Garden City, Kansas, and graduated high school in Holcomb, Kansas. After high school, she continued her education in Lindsborg, Kansas, at Bethany College. She pursued her undergraduate degree with a passion for the criminal justice side of the law. There, she studied criminology and English literature while being a two-sport college athlete. When she wasn’t reading for class, she was cheering and stunting for the Swedes. At Bethany College, MaKentzee met her favorite football player and soon-to-be favorite football coach. MaKentzee and her now husband Hunter spend their free time watching football with their black Lab and Great Dane.

After undergrad, MaKentzee went straight to KU and started law school as a summer starter. MaKentzee spent her three years at KU driving to and from school to Leavenworth, Kansas, while listening to New Heights and True Crime podcasts. Law school was where she discovered torts and knew a field in that direction was the right choice.

MaKentzee loves spending time with the Saint Mary Spire football team and helping the players figure out who they want to be after they graduate college. She feeds the offensive line and a few extras on Friday nights before games to help build a family for players who are far from home.
