Dedra Moore is a seasoned attorney with more than 15 years of legal experience, licensed to practice in both Missouri and Illinois. She is widely respected for her work in criminal defense at both the state and federal levels, with a well-established record of successfully representing clients facing a broad spectrum of criminal charges. Dedra is known for her strategic advocacy and her commitment to providing each client with the personalized attention their case requires.
In addition to her criminal defense practice, Dedra has significant experience in administrative law, municipal law, premises liability, construction law, wrongful death, and professional liability. She represents commercial clients throughout all phases of litigation—from proactive policy development, to risk management, to investigation and defense before administrative agencies. Her results-driven approach has earned her a reputation for delivering effective legal solutions to her clients.
Dedra’s commitment to justice is also reflected in her work involving child welfare. As a former Administrative Law Judge with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, she brings unique insight and compassion to her representation of clients in DCFS appeals and juvenile matters. She is a strong advocate for the protection of children and supports family reunification whenever possible, recognizing its importance to both parents and children.
In addition, Dedra is appointed to the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.
Outside of her legal practice, Dedra is dedicated to giving back through pro bono legal services in underserved communities. In her personal time, she enjoys painting and restoring furniture.
