Kris practices in the firm’s Belleville office. She primarily focuses her practice on medical malpractice, transportation liability, employment law and product liability. She represents hospitals, physicians, nurses, nursing care facilities, and other health care professionals. The cases that she routinely defends involve serious and catastrophic injuries. She has more than 30 years of trial experience in Central and Southern Illinois. Additionally, she defends retailers, transportation companies, and construction firms in personal injury cases.

In her spare time, Kris enjoys staying fit by golfing, cycling, playing volleyball, weightlifting and cross-training. She also enjoys travelling to explore new countries and adventures.

Favorable Jury Verdicts

  • Obtained a defense verdict in St. Clair County, Illinois, in a medical negligence case  against a prominent plaintiff’s firm with claimed damages in excess of $11 million alleged damages (2024).
  • Obtained a defense verdict in Johnston County, Illinois, in a medical negligence case  wherein plaintiff alleged a traumatic cervical spine injury with damages exceeding a million dollars.
  • Obtained a defense verdict in St. Clair County, Illinois, against a prominent plaintiff’s firm in a premises liability case with damages involving a traumatic brain injury and alleged damages of $5 million. Successfully briefed and argued the case before the Fifth District Appellate Court where the verdict was affirmed.
  • Obtained a defense verdict in Richland County in a transportation/trucking case with significant spinal injuries claimed. Successfully briefed and argued the case before the Fifth District Appellate Court where the verdict was affirmed.
  • Obtained a defense verdict in Madison County in a construction case wherein plaintiff was alleging that the scaffolding was defective causing serious spinal injuries.
  • Obtained a defense verdict in an insurance vexatious refusal lawsuit in Sangamon County, Illinois.
