Tucker Blaser joined Brown & James, P.C. in 2009 and practices in the firm’s Belleville, Illinois, office. His practice focuses on defending medical practice, premises, and product liability, and toxic tort cases. Mr. Blaser currently leads the toxic tort division for the Belleville office and serves as local counsel for multiple product and premises liability clients.

Rachel Hayden-Hackman v. Schnuck Markets, Inc (St. Louis County Circuit Court) – Premises liability case against Schnuck Markets, Inc. with an alleged slip and fall in produce aisle of the Sierra Vista store in North County. Plaintiff allegedly slipped on some smashed grapes that were on a floor rug near the grapes case. Plaintiff’s theory was that the smashed grapes on floor rug constituted a dangerous condition. Defense argued that the combination of smashed grapes on a floor rug was not a dangerous condition. Submitted $15,000 in specials for treatment of numerous injuries with primary injuries being alleged ligament damage to left knee, left ankle and left lumbrosacral strain/sprain with radiculopathy. Treating physician testified as to permanency of left knee/left ankle and lumbar radiculopathy, and plaintiff’s attorney asked the jury for $50,000. The jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of Schnuck Markets, Inc.
